The silkworm's diet consists only of mulberry leaves. 

It is recommended to feed fresh leaves, when available, as they also provide a source of hydration.

Mulberry leaves are packed full of vitamins, minerals and amino acids meeting all the nutritional needs of silkworms. 

As mulberry trees are deciduous the supply of mulberry leaves are seasonal, and a specially formulated diet may be needed during the winter months.
