Our giant mealworms (giants) are available in 2 different sizes: 

• medium giants (25-40 mm)
  
  
• large giants (40-50 mm)

These are a tropical species that are naturally much larger than common mealworms. 

Crazy Critters giants are not hormone-treated.

It is recommended to only feed our medium giants to adult (or full-size) medium-to-large animals, such as:

• bearded dragons
   
• blue tongue lizards
  
  
• chickens, ducks, geese, guinea fowls
  
  
• cockatoos, galahs, kookaburras and magpies 
  
  
• forest dragons
  
  
• gliders and possums
  
  
• green tree frogs
  
  
• predatory fish
  
  
• small mammals
  
  
• turtles
  
  
• water dragons; and 
  
  
• wildlife 
    

We recommend that you: 

• unpack your giants on arrival to reduce the risk of losses
  
  

• DO NOT REFRIGERATE! 

  Giants are a tropical species that can not tolerate temperatures of 12˚C or lower for any extended periods
  
  
• when feeding your pet: remove giants from their storage container 24-48 hours beforehand and gutload
  

Note: giant mealworms are also commonly referred to as:

• King Worms
  
  
• Superworms
  
  
• Morio Worms, and
  
  
• Zophobas.

The term 'Superworm' is often used interchangeably and may refer to common mealworms (Tenebrio molitor) grown larger than their natural size due to the use of chemical hormone inhibitors.
