The pupae of the common house fly is rich in protein and offers your pet variety in their diet.

Deactivated fly pupae has been frozen for your convenience and should be stored in the freezer. Although it will keep in the freezer for up to 6 months, once frozen, flies will not hatch from pupae. 

If you prefer to feed your pet live flies, you can purchase our live fly pupae which will hatch into flies at room temperature in about 3 to 5 days. 

You can feed our insects to your pet:

• frogs
• geckos
• insect-eating birds
• lizards
• predatory fish
• scorpions and spiders
• turtles; and
• wildlife

to provide variety in their diet.

When it is time to feed your pet, simply remove the desired amount of fly pupae from the freezer and allow it to warm to room temperature before offering to your pet. 

We recommend that you store deactivated fly pupae in the freezer for no more than 6 months.

Please note flies will not hatch from deactivated fly pupae.

This product can only be fed to your pet as pupae.
